THE COIN MARKET was founded in 1999 by Mr. Don Blake. His vision and dedication laid the foundation for what has become a reputable name in the numismatic and precious metals community. His legacy lives on, not only in the thriving business he built but also through the ongoing guidance of former owners and managers who continue to advise us on a regular basis, ensuring we uphold the values that have defined us. Over the past 25 years, little has changed in our commitment to providing high quality, authentic coins, bullion, and currency. Josh Bobbitt – Owner
Josh began his numismatic journey as a kid with an affection for 3c silver. After graduating from UNC he and his father were partners in the textile industry. After NFTA permanently altered that industry in the US, Josh knew it was time for a change. At that point he felt called to what he loved as a child, COINS! After a few years his talent was noticed by Heritage Auctions. He worked with them for over 20 years before eventually buying The Coin Market.
Brian Cox – Managing Member
Brian also began his numismatic journey in his childhood. He would hunt for buffalo nickels and Indian head cents at his home town flea markets. He became a regular customer of the shop prier to helping part time. Eventually rising to managing member and head buyer. Brian is a classically trained chef and a fan of live music. When he is not at work, He enjoys riding his Harley Davidson and practicing martial arts.
Rick Greene – Managing Member
Rick was introduced to coin collecting by his grandfather. He used that collection, inherited from him as collateral to buy his first house. Rick is a life long entrepreneur. In 2010 his old friend Josh invited him to assist with his work at Heratige Auctions. That work lead to him becoming managing member of The Coin Market.
